Chvrches join line-up for NME Awards Shows 2014 with Austin, Texas

Telegram, Theo Verney and Raglans also added to series of gigs taking place throughout February

Chvrches have joined the line up for next year's NME Awards Shows 2014 with Austin, Texas.

The initial line-up of gigs, which also includes headline dates from Phoenix, Parquet Courts, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Speedy Ortiz, will take place at various venues around London between February 2-25 next year.

Chvrches join the line up with their gig at Scala on February 17 while hotly tipped London band Telegram will co-headline Electrowerkz on February 19 with Childhood.

Other new additions to the line up include Theo Verney joining the support bill for Superfood (Oslo, February 19), Radkey (Sebright Arms, 23) and Raglans being added to the bill for The Strypes (O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, 13). Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will start the series of shows with a performance at Electric Ballroom on February 3. Warpaint, who released their second album earlier this week (January 20), will also headline KOKO in Camden on February 18 with Birmingham band Swim Deep headlining the same venue the previous night. Drenge, who have supported Arctic Monkeys and broke into the Top 40 with their self-titled debut album earlier this year, will play live at Scala on February 20.

Elsewhere, Parquet Courts will headline Camden's Electric Ballroom (February 16) while Au Revoir Simone play live at The Garage on February 20.

Meanwhile, new bands such as Pup, Slaves, The Family Rain, Cheatahs, Only Real, Speedy Ortiz and The Orwells all headline shows in the run. Fat White Family, who recently appeared on the Monster NME Radar tour, will play the last of the series of gigs when they headline Electrowerkz on February 25.
