Chvrches have announced details of a UK tour to take place in October and November.

The band will embark on the five-date run from October 30, with a gig at O2 Academy Brixton. They will then visit Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh before concluding in Manchester on November 6. Tickets for all dates go on sale on Friday (August 15). Lizzo supports on all dates.

The Liverpool date, at the Camp & Furnace venue, comes as part of Liverpool Music Week. Chvrches join EMA and Black Lips on the bill for the closing party on Saturday November 1.

The UK dates come amid touring difficulty for Chvrches. The band were denied entry to San Francisco this weekend (August 10) and had to cancel their appearance at the Outside Lands festival.

Breaking the news to fans on Facebook, the band explained that only "half the band and gear made it to San Francisco due to major mess ups by Vancouver airport and a healthy dose of bad luck".

Chvrches will play:

London, O2 Academy Brixton (October 30)
Liverpool, Camp & Furnace (November 1)
Glasgow, Barrowlands (3)
Edinburgh, Corn Exchange (5)
Manchester, Academy (6)
