ALBINI'S NEW 'DISCO..' DIRECTION

Cinerama, the band formed by ex-Wedding Present frontman DAVID GEDGE, have announced details of their second album - which is produced by STEVE ALBINI.

David Gedge in left The Wedding Present in 1998 to form Cinerama. They release their second LP, 'Disco Volante', on September 18 through their own Scopitones label.

The band will precede the album with a new single, 'Lollobrigida' on August 28. The single will feature a brand new B-Side, 'Sly Curl', which also features Irish comedian Sean Hughes.

Both the single and album are produced by legendary producer Steve Albini, who, as well as fronting his own band Shellac, also produced numerous seminal albums including Nirvana's 'In Utero' and PJ Harvey's 'Rid Of Me'. Albini has worked with Gedge in the past, producing the 1991 Wedding Present album 'Seamonsters'.
