The tour will kick off in September 2009

Cliff Richard is set to reunite with his old band The Shadows for a UK arena tour next year.

The shows will be the first time Richard has played with the band – completed by Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennett – in 20 years.

The line-up originally split in 1968, with Richard going on with his solo career and the band continuing to tour without him. They have declared that the 11-date arena tour will be their last jaunt together.

Cliff Richard and The Shadows will play:

London O2 Arena (September 25, 26)
Nottingham Trent FM Arena (30)
Birmingham NIA (October 3, 4)
Cardiff CIA (6)
Liverpool Echo Arena (7)
Glasgow SECC (9)
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (12)
Sheffield Arena (14)
Manchester Evening News Arena (17)

Tickets go on sale on Sunday (November 30).
