Cloud Nothings to release 'noisier' new album in 2013

Frontman Dylan Baldi will follow up 2012 album 'Attack On Memory' immediately

Cloud Nothings to release 'noisier' new album in 2013
Cloud Nothings have revealed that they will release a new album in 2013, saying the songs are sounding "Noisier and less melodic".

The US band released the critically acclaimed, Steve Albini produced 'Attack On Memory' earlier this year but are getting back into the studio almost immediately. Speaking to MTV Hive aboard the S.S.Coachella cruise, frontman Dylan Baladi showed his work ethic, saying: "I want to do one thing each year or else I’ll feel like I’m lazy."

Speaking about the next album, he went on to add: “I’ve written most of it. I just need to teach it to the band and flesh it out. I wrote it here and there on the road and a couple of days when we were home. The album is a little less melodic. It’s noisier and less straightforward. I think people will be able to handle it. There’s one track that sounds a lot like early Wire, that I really like. There’s not really words yet, I write them super last minute when I’m in the studio."

Cloud Nothings released their debut album 'Turning On' in 2009 before releasing its self-titled follow up in 2011. 'Attack On Memory' was released in January 2012.

Cloud Nothings new album is tentatively due for release on Autumn 2013.
