Cloud Nothings and White Lung are among the artists releasing tapes as part of this year's Cassette Store Day.

Modelled on the annual Record Store Day, the second Cassette Store Day takes place on September 27 with various stores across the UK participating.

Cloud Nothings and White Lung are to release their latest albums in the cassette format for the event, which is run in the UK by labels Kissability and Suplex Cassettes. Other artists to release tapes will include These New Puritans and Mutual Benefit. For more details and a list of participating stores, visit Cassette Store Day's official website.

"When planning this year we really tried to keep cassette labels and fans at the heart of the event," said Jen Long of Kissability in a statement.

Cassette Store Day also takes part in the US. This year's participating artists include Julian Casablancas, Karen O, Best Coast and Foxygen.

The inaugural International Cassette Store Day took place last year, with organisers describing the event as "a celebration of a physical product that is accessible, fun, cheap and still going strong in the turbulent current musical climate".
