The four-piece give it their all on their home turf

The Oohlas gave a rousing performance at Club NME Los Angeles with Fred Perry Subculture last night (May 7).

The Los Angeles four-piece adeptly combined scuzzy guitar hooks with soaring vocals by frontwoman Olivia Stone. Dressed in a cherry-covered dress, she channelled Courtney Love and Kim Deal while singing and rocking out on guitar.

The band played several tracks from their 2006 debut album 'Best Stop Pop', as well as 'Small Parts', which was featured on the soundtrack to 2007's 'Spider-Man 3'.

Greg Eklund (formerly of Everclear) skilfully manned the drums, but at times his beats were so powerful they drowned out the rest of the band.

The crowd danced and cheered throughout most of the band's 40-minute set.

The Oohlas played:

'Stain'
'Tripped'
'Take Me Home'
'Lemmings Anthem'
'TV Dinner'
'Small Parts'
'Octopus'
'Show Shoes'
'Across The Stars In Blue'
