Rage Against The Machine cap off the weekend

Coachella drew to a close this evening (April 29) with an outstanding performance from the recently reunited Rage Against The Machine.

The band raised the thrilled Coachella Valley, capping of a weekend that saw stellar performances from Arctic Monkeys, CSS, LCD Soundsystem and Kings Of Leon.

Rage Against The Machine weren’t the only ones who reunited as Friday (April 27) night saw the newly-reformed The Jesus And Mary Chain take to the stage, including a special appearance by actress Scarlett Johannson who sang vocals on ’Just Like Honey’, while this evening (April 29) also saw Crowded House perform a mellow main stage set.

The Cribs , Klaxons and Kaiser Chiefs all flew the flag for Britain in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, while Interpol and Bjork made welcome returns by previewing new material for the desert audience.

Meanwhile, NME.COM’s very own Dan Martin filled in for Bez, dancing onstage with Happy Mondays, much to the delight of the somewhat bemused crowd.
