Klaxons reveal details of new video
Plus the trio relive their Coachella highlights
Klaxons have revealed details of their brand new video, being shot this week in the UK.
NME.COM spoke to the band at a Motorola-hosted party at the Coachella Festival on Sunday (April 29), where Jamie Reynolds and James Righton unveiled plans for their new promo, which will be shot this week.
“We get a day off then we shoot the video for 'It’s Not Over Yet',” said Reynolds. “It’s going to be phenomenal. We’re going to be warrior-types and we’re guarding our god. It’s going to be quite violent and quite heavy, but quite graceful. We’re wearing these kind of Sun Ra, 3,000 Aztec kind of robes and all sorts. Space is the place, and we want to look like Sun Ra.”
The band also hooked-up with mates CSS while playing the Californian desert event.
“It was good to see CSS again,” Righton said “We hadn’t seen them for a while, so it was good meeting up again. It was a nice little reunion party.”
The band spent the whole weekend at the Californian festival, getting straight into the action within seconds of arriving.
“We jumped straight out of the bus, ran right onto the side of the stage to watch Arctic Monkeys, no wristbands, just straight through,” said Reynolds. ”We’ve been drunk the whole time we’ve been here. LCD Soundsystem was amazing. We saw Bjork and Interpol, then ran around repeating ourselves. Yesterday we were the first people looking for booze in the bar area at one o’clock. And then it just got really messy.”
And Righton says the band have had a taste of the Hollywood lifestyle while in the Californian desert.
“We got driven to Sinatra’s house party,” he said. “Sinatra wasn’t there unfortunately, but his spirit definitely was. It was just full of people like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.”
