Jack White gets emotional at Coachella

Bathed in blue lights as the sun went down, The Raconteurs played a storming set at the Coachella Festival tonight (April 25).

Jack White's band gave their first-ever Coachella performance for a huge crowd at the main stage.

White, dressed all in black with sideburns almost to his chin, maintained a look of utter concentration throughout nearly the entire set, whether playing extended guitar riffs or swapping harmonies with Brendan Benson.

The band ran through tracks from their most recent album 'Consolers Of The Lonely', including 'Rich Kid Blues' and 'Salute Your Solution', as well as playing a smattering of tracks from their first album 'Broken Boy Soldiers'.

When bassist Jack Lawrence played the opening notes of 'Steady, As She Goes', the crowd erupted and sang along to the chorus.

White pulled out a red acoustic guitar for the band's final number, 'Carolina Drama'. At the end of their set, the band lined up on the stage and applauded the audience, who roared back in response. The quartet then took a bow, and White appeared visibly choked up.
