Coldplay are set to play a special Christmas radio session tomorrow (December 22).
The band are set to appear on Radio 1, performing a ‘live lounge’ for DJ Jo Whiley which will include "a festive tune" along side the group's regular material.
The band will record five tracks for the show, but their performance will also be filmed and will be made available to digital TV viewers from December 23.
The session can be accessed via ‘on demand’ digital television and will available until January 6. Coldplay’s appearance follows similar digital broadcast of shows by Gorillaz and The Strokes earlier in the year.
Coldplay meanwhile released single 'Talk' on December 19, but with the dominance of the 'X Factor' release in this week’s chart are unexpected to challenge for the festive top spot on Sunday (December 25).
