Coldplay, Radiohead to be reissued on vinyl

Bands' classic albums get re-released this summer

Several albums from Radiohead and Coldplay are set to be reissued on vinyl on August 19.

Coldplay's albums 'Parachutes' and 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' are set to be re-released by Capitol/EMI on newly remastered, limited-edition vinyl, as well as Radiohead's 'OK Computer', 'Kid A', 'Amnesiac' and 'Hail To The Thief'.

The 'From The Capitol Vaults' vinyl packages will feature artwork and packaging replicating their original single or gatefold jacket LP releases. All of the titles were previously out of print on vinyl.

Oh, WOW, a recording on genuine vinyl. I guess I'll pay a high price to possess this nostalgic throwback. I thought that CD's trashed the old 12 inch record because of superior sound quality. I'll admit however, that with the CD player, if your laser goes out you have nothing, but with the old phonograph, you will at least have something to listen to if your needle is still there.By the way, enjoy all the pops and hisses you will get from vinyl records after a while unless you are extreamly careful with your record. However, I bet some folks will consider those nostalgic too. Just remember how much you cursed those background noises as you tried to listen to the Yardbirds and the Rolling Stone records you had in the 60's and 70's.

awesome. i already have in rainbows vinyl... i'll be sure to add these to my collection. even though the cds are far better in quality, and lets be honest, practicality, i buy vinyls of classic cds just as a collectors item. release more death cab vinyls i say

jovus, what the fuck are you going on about? Everyone knows vinyl is miles better to listen to than CD. If any modern bands could put out anything anywhere nearly as good as the Stones or Yardbirds i'd be very happy. Instead we're stuck with shite like The Ting Tings and the Wombats.
