Coldplay have decided to wait "for the dust to settle" before attempting to break the US market, nme.com can reveal.
Coldplay's manager Phil Harvey contacted nme.com to talk about the international progress of the band, following the immense critical and public acclaim for their debut album, 'Parachutes'. He said: "At the moment we're so busy and there's a good chance that it may get busy across the world as well. So we've decided to wait for the dust to settle before we try something as big as America."
Coldplay are signed to major label EMI worldwide. Some US websites had speculated that the band would release 'Parachutes' as early as November 7 through EMI subsidiary Nettwerk, with a single and tour to follow early next year - but that now seems increasingly unlikely with the band so busy in Europe.
