Chris Martin says he doesn't make his children listen to Coldplay.

"No one in our family has to listen to it," he said.

The Coldplay frontman has two children - Apple and Moses - with wife Gwyneth Paltrow and, aside from not forcing his band's music on them, says his kids stop him wasting valuable seconds at home.

"My children made me more focused on not wasting time on anything I don't think is worth wasting time on," he told USA Today.

He added:

So that's affected my editing process... You don't want to spend months and months doing something and have it turn out terrible. You want your kids to be proud, basically. So it gives you extra drive.

Coldplay's release their new album 'Mylo Xyloto' on October 24.
