Coldplay deny that Gwyneth Paltrow will join them on tour

Reports that the actress will join her ex-partner Chris Martin on the road are false, spokesman says

Coldplay have denied reports that Gwyneth Paltrow will join her ex-partner Chris Martin's band on tour.

According to a report yesterday, the actress was planning on joining the group on the road so that her and Martin's children Apple and Moses will be able to spend time with their father.

However, speaking to NME, Coldplay's spokesperson has since denied this, reiterating that no tour dates have yet been announced.

Earlier this month Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow announced their separation via an online newsletter for Paltrow's GOOP magazine. The pair, who married in 2003, said that they were 'Conscious Uncoupling'.

Coldplay's new album, 'Ghost Stories' will be released on May 19. Last month, the band played the new album in its entirety for the first time to 800 fans on a movie soundstage at Sony Studios in Los Angeles. The gig was recorded as part of a DVD extra for the album.

The band also previewed a couple of the album's tracks at SXSW, performing at the first ever iTunes Festival show at the US event in Austin, Texas last month.

Coldplay announced their comeback by revealing brand new track 'Midnight', and a video directed by Mary Wigmore.
