Coldplay dedicate 'Fix You' to Mick Jagger at New York gig

The Rolling Stones frontman is grieving after the death of his long-term partner L'Wren Scott

Coldplay dedicated their song 'Fix You' to a grieving Mick Jagger at a gig in New York yesterday (May 5).

The band were playing the Beacon Theatre to promote the release of their new album 'Ghost Stories' on May 19 when the band's frontman Chris Martin introduced the track saying, "It's for Mick Jagger," Billboard reports.

Earlier in the weekend (May 2), Jagger had sung Bob Dylan's 'Just Like A Woman' at a memorial for his late girlfriend, the fashion designer L'Wren Scott.

The service took place at at St. Bartholomew's Church in Manhattan and was attended by directors Martin Scorsese and Baz Luhrman, actors Julianne Moore and Meg Ryan and US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

L'Wren Scott was found dead on March 17 in her apartment in New York, after committing suicide by hanging. Jagger released a statement following the news and his Rolling Stones bandmates also showed their support for the frontman.
