Coldplay appeared on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show yesterday evening (May 6) to perform their track 'Always In My Head' – click below to watch.

The band recorded a live version of the track, which features vocals from frontman Chris Martin's daughter Apple, for a special web segment on the show. They also performed their single 'Magic' during their appearance on Fallon.

Speaking previously about the song, Martin said it was about "togetherness through life's challenges".

This follows comments made by Martin in the same interview about how his "conscious uncoupling" from wife Gwyneth Paltrow affected the band's new music. When asked if his relationship breakdown was the inspiration behind the new album, Martin replied: "What changed for me was - I don’t want to go through life being scared of it, being scared of love, being scared of rejection, being scared of failure."

'Ghost Stories' is the band's sixth album and will be released on May 19. A special Coldplay concert will air on Sky Arts 1 on the same day, which was filmed in front of 800 people and sees them perform all nine tracks on the new LP plus fan favourites including 'Clocks', 'Viva La Vida' and 'Paradise'. This will be the first opportunity for UK fans to see the new album tracks performed live.
