The Coral have lost guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones for all foreseeable live shows.

According to a statement from the band, a “stress-related illness” means that he will not be able to travel and play live. The statement continues: “Bill will continue to be as much a part of the band as ever in terms of rehearsing, writing and recording with The Coral”.

The guitarist wasn’t present at the group’s date at last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival, but the band say Ryder Jones is expected to be “be fighting fit enough to resume live duties soon”.

The Coral are currently supporting Oasis on their UK tour.

Their new single, ’Something Inside Of Me’, is released on August 15.
