Franz Ferdinand side-project player Richard Wright wins Turner Prize
Wright played guitar with Paul Thomson in Correcto
The artist who played guitar in the band Correcto alongside Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson has won the Turner Prize 2009.
Richard Wright, who played on Correcto's 2007 self-titled album, picked up the award last night (December 7) at the Tate Britain, where his untitled winning piece of art is on display.
The art is a gold leaf painting on a white wall, and is on display until January 3.
As well as playing guitar in Correcto, Wright designed the artwork for their album.
