Courtney Love denies 'scrapping' album

She claims new record will be finished by mid-July

Courtney Love has denied reports that she has scrapped her new album.

The singer claimed that some rearrangements and retakes were being made, but that the work she has done with collaborators Linda Perry and ' Billy Corgan still remains.

Writing on her MySpace blog, Love said: "No 'scrapping' is going on, simply a few retakes – especially since all those recordings were leaked onto the net and I knew if we played some of those songs live that would happen – so rearrangements on a couple of things have happened.

"Don't assume you know any songs on this album, some may sound somewhat familiar or even have the same titles and arrangements [on] a few. A few are just precious diamonds I wouldn't touch but there's tons of new ones which you have not a clue about – I know 'cause I haven't finished lyrics and I'm days away."

Love also explained that the album, set to be titled 'Nobody's Daughter', will be handed into her record label by mid-July at the latest.

the documentary they made on the recording of this album is hilarious. Courtney Love is still such a mess--with or without the blow.

Some of us would hope the rumours to be true, for her to scrap the whole album... And forget about making any new one in the future, really...

And some of us would like to be able to read an article on Courtney Love without idiots talking crap in the comments section for once.

From listening to all the demos that leaked on to the net. I have to say that I was more excited for it than I was ever before. Granted, she is still abit of a mess, but who isnt a mess in the industry these days. This new album is going to amazing.

she's a genius and she IS rerecording the majority of the record with Micheal Bienhorn , but i guess she waited something like 8 months for 5 days with Linda Perry and ultimately she just felt the drums werent the drum sound she was looking for at the same time she was writing what were supposed to be "b" sides with Micko Larkin, Liam Wade( Lord Auch) and Stuart Fisher , but the songs wich had previously been sort of midtempo and poppy- in a cool way- i dont think much of what Linda P has done but im always willing to give a chance to anyone, i think Courtney realised those songs didnt really feel or sound like her soul and she went to Micheal who did C Skin withher and shes already in the studio , iw ant to say fall, but she has an entire apparal line to produce *( its been designed with Fashion God Panos Yiapanis- my favourite stylsit on EARTH!) but its not lower end L.A.M.B crap and i dont think she wanted her cd /website whatever its going to be to ultimately be Lindas first real "rock " record,. i listen to those recording and they show absouloute promise and genius but i want the real Courtney not smothered in a sort of sheen wich they feel like now, i know Linda was really there for her, and i know Linda and Corgan do NOT get along at all( i heard from a good source) ( i have good sources on CeeLo) and she's eternally greatful but i think she meantthis wasn't some sort of "axl" thing with a bunch of crappy unfinished songs- i know arrangements are defintly being looked at and she's spent 6 months tearing everything apart and putting it all back together again and loves her band and feels she writes best in a good band- i think July it will be done mixed and mastered and by Sept latest October it will be out . Remember she has had a major MAJOR money embezzlement issue and since so much of it is in Europe i hear she may use European barristers, as the EEC takes Fraud far far more seriously that the patriot act lovin yanks.,Palace

If that's so, Randomgirl666, how come you're posting? :-) Please grow up. Everybody is entitled to have and express an opinion. If you don't like it, fair enough; But spare me the diehard fan crap reply, please.

Everyone is entitled to have and express an opinion, even if that opinion is different from yours. "Grow up" is good advice for someone who whines when a stranger disagrees with them. If you don't like it, fair enough, but spare me the same predictable jokes every time her name is mentioned, please.Despite the rampant crap-talking and the fact that each album bombs harder than the last, she still keeps making music, doing her thing, and being herself, essentially saying "F*** you, I'll do what makes me happy" to all the haters. I'd love her for that alone, even if I wasn't a diehard fan.
