Courtney Love had to fill in for Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil at an launch event for New York Fashion Week on Tuesday (September 6).

Neil fell sick and as a result lost his voice, rendering him unable to perform at the One Model Management 10th anniversary party at the Hiro Ballroom. Courtney Love and Hole were able to step in and the show saw Love dedicate the song 'Skinny Little Bitch' to her 19 year old daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

Love said Cobain was “my fucking only child” reports Contact Music, before adding, "I'm so glad she didn't get that nose job".

The two women have had a tempestuous relationship, with Cobain – whose father is the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain – under the guardianship of Kurt's mother since 2009 after she fell out with her mother.

Earlier this year Courtney Love admitted that she became addicted to heroin after attending a party at actor Charlie Sheen's house.

Speaking with rehabilitation-focused magazine The Fix, the Hole frontwoman said that her battle with the drug began during a party at Sheen's mansion.

The singer added that after battling addiction, she had only relapsed once, in 2005 and then it was with the intention of committing suicide. She said: "I promised I would never shoot heroin again, and I haven't, except for one incident in July 2005, where I shot myself up on purpose to kill myself."
