Frances Bean Cobain has spoken out after her mother Courtney Love took to Twitter to suggest that Dave Grohl had tried to seduce the 19-year-old.

Love made the accusations earlier this week on her private Twitter account, saying that her daughter's roommate had told her that Grohl had "hit on Frances" and added that she wanted to shoot him as revenge.

Frances has now stated that nothing untoward happened with the Foo Fighters' frontman, insisting she has "never been approached" by Grohl. Her full statement, via Rolling Stone, reads:

While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.

Grohl, who played in Nirvana with Frances' father Kurt Cobain, has also denied the accusations, saying in his own statement: "Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."
