Courtney Love is facing yet another lawsuit, this time from her former assistant Jessica LaBrie.

LaBrie, who worked as Love's assistant from June 2010 to July 2011, alleges that the Hole singer only paid her a fraction of what she was owed for her work and also claims that she tried to make her hire a computer hacker and produce counterfeit legal documents. She adds that when she told Love she wouldn’t carry out the tasks, which she describes as "fraudulent, unlawful, and unethical acts", her wages were withheld.

LaBrie, who is also set to publish a tell-all book about Love titled Get Me A Xanax, wants unspecified damages from the case. Love's attorneys have yet to comment on the lawsuit, telling US gossip site TMZ that they haven’t seen the lawsuit details as yet.

This is the second lawsuit to hit Love in the past three weeks after it was announced on June 25 that she was being sued by her former legal representatives Keith A Fink & Associates, who are seeking $466,029.41 (£299,505) in outstanding fees.

Her former lawyers filed the suit in Los Angeles, stating that she still hasn't paid the $518,640.66 (£333,317) worth of attorneys' fees which she allegedly owes them from the 14 legal cases they worked on for her from January to October in 2009.

In other legal matters regarding Courtney Love, it was recently revealed that a law firm is trying to convince Frances Bean Cobain to testify against her mother. According to the Hollywood Reporter, lawyers suing Courtney Love for defamation have issued a writ requesting her 19-year-old daughter make a statement clarifying her meaning when she said: "Twitter should ban my mother."

Frances called for Love to be banned from the social networking site after she used it to launch a tirade against her late husband Kurt Cobain's former Nirvana bandmate Dave Grohl, accusing him of making sexual advances on her daughter.

The legal case revolves around whether Love defamed Rhonda Holmes - of law firm Gordon & Holmes - in a 2010 tweet, when she wrote: "I was fucking devastated when Rhonda J Holmes esq of San Diego was bought off. I've been hiring and firing lawyers to help me with this."
