Courtney Love working on Kurt Cobain musical
Sam Lufti revealed the pair's plans in a Los Angeles courtroom
Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lufti has revealed that he is currently co-managing Courtney Love and working with her on a project about the life of her late husband, Kurt Cobain.
Lufti revealed their plans in court yesterday (October 24) in Los Angeles. He is currently suing Spears and her parents for breach of contract, libel and unpaid management fees.
He said, reports Music-News, that the pair are "are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her life and Kurt Cobain's."
He added that the project is in its very early stages.
During the same case earlier this week, lawyer Leon Gladstone, speaking on behalf of Spears' father, told Los Angeles Superior Court:
"Jamie was living in constant fear that he was going to look at the TV one day and see Britney was dead. He's scared to death and thinking to himself, 'My daughter has lost everything. Here she is, in a psychiatric ward, out of her head'."
Last week, the court heard Lufti claim that Britney Spears was addicted to amphetamines.
Lufti alleged that Spears' shaved her head in 2007 in order to avoid taking a drugs test, after she believed that traces of the drugs she was taking – including crystal meth - would be in her hair.
He is seeking millions of dollars after claiming that Spears' mother's book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, which was released in 2008, said he drugged Spears and manipulated the singer and her family.
