Courtney Love hints at possible Hole reunion on Facebook page

Courtney Love has posted a photo onto her Facebook page which seems to hint at a possible Hole reunion.

The photo, which was posted over the Christmas period on December 28, features the singer happily embracing former guitarist Eric Erlandson and bears the caption, “And this just happened.... @eric_erlandson @maindepowr @LouiseMensch @xMAdMx 2014 going to be a very interesting year xc”. @MAdMx is the Twitter handle for bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, while @maindepowr is the group’s manager Peter Mensch.




Love also posted a further photo of the two together the following day (December 29), with the caption "Mojo man! Mojo fairy!".

Hole, who formed in 1989 and whose most famous line-up comprised the above three members alongside drummer Patty Schemel, haven’t played together in this incarnation since 1998 when they released ‘Celebrity Skin’. Following Schemel’s departure that year, Auf Der Maur then left in 1999 to join the Smashing Pumpkins, while the group disbanded entirely three years later.

Disagreements between Love and Erlandson then became rife when the singer decided to reform the band with a new line-up in 2009, leading to that year’s ‘Nobody’s Daughter’, with Erlandson stating to Spin that “there is no Hole without me”. However, judging by Love’s recent update, the pair now appear to be on genial terms.

Courtney Love, meanwhile, recently claimed that she gets “hit on by guys wanting to be cast in that Kurt Cobain Biopic”. In a recent interview, the singer said that she “could give you some names that would blow your mind”, regarding a number of actors who have attempted to seduce her in order to be cast in the much-speculated forthcoming biopic of the late Nirvana legend. “But I am so not sleeping with someone under 38,” she concluded.
