This time it's naked toffs and witty wordplay that look set to cause trouble. It appears that Jesus has been dropped from their promotional campaign...

Shock rock outfit CRADLE OF FILTH are cruising into fresh controversy with a new promotional T-shirt, this time featuring a semi-naked picture of the ex-wife of a minor member of the aristocracy, NME.COM can reveal.

The shirt, to go on sale soon, features Louise Robey, the Countess Of Burford (ex-wife of the Earl Of Burford), posing topless alongside the legend 'Up Your Regina'.

Robey, a former singer and one-time soft porn actress, recently spoke about the split from her husband, providing the UK press with details about the crippling pressures to fit into an aristocratic life.

NME.COM revealed how earlier this month (January) public outrage over another Filth T-shirt led to police raids in Tower Records' store in Glasgow. The Lord Provost of Glasgow Alex Mosson led a protest outside the shop calling for a complete ban on Filth's 'Jesus Is A C-t' shirt, featuring an image of a nun masturbating with a crucifix. After a fortnight of toing and froing, the store eventually capitulated and decided not to re-stock the shirt.

NME.COM has since learned that the 'Jesus Is A C-t? shirt is the biggest seller in independent metal stores in London, out-stripping demand for Marilyn Manson and Limp Bizkit.

Cradle Of Filth, meanwhile, have three upcoming dates in Ireland and the UK.

They play
Dublin Music Centre (April 11)
Belfast Limelight (April 12)
Nottingham Rock City (April 14)
