Bassist Jack Bruce says they’ll play this summer

Cream bassist Jack Bruce says they will reunite this summer for one or more shows, despite recently saying such a thing would never happen.

Bruce made the announcement at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in Abbey Road, where he performed alongside a string of fellow music legends including The Rolling StonesBill Wyman and Jon Lord of Deep Purple.

“It came up we're doing something if I wanted to. Obviously, I'm not going to be the one to say no,” Bruce said, according to the Associated Press.

Cream reunited in 2005 when Bruce, Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker got together for the first time in almost four decades. However, relations between Bruce and Baker remained strained.

So far, representatives for Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker have yet to confirm the reunion.
