Crowded House play intimate LA show

Kiwis thrill fans at Troubadour before major world tour

Crowded House played an intimate show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles last night (July 17) - thrilling a lucky few before the band embark on their first major world tour in more than a decade.

The newly reunited band played a handful of classic tracks at the sold-out show, including 'Four Seasons In One Day' and 'Fall At Your Feet', but focused largely on new material from their recent album, 'Time On Earth'.

Several songs garnered lively singalongs from the audience that drowned out frontman Neil Finn.

"I'm almost afraid of how good you guys are," Finn told the crowd following an especially energetic response.

Finn and bassist Nick Seymour bantered with the audience and with each other like old friends throughout their set, kidding one other about their choice of wardrobe and Seymour's alleged obsession with staying hydrated.

The band closed out their two-part encore with the crowd-pleaser 'Don't Dream It's Over'.

Crowded House are set to play another intimate show tomorrow night (July 19) at the Masonic Lodge on West 26th Street in New York City.
