Crystal Castles have confirmed that their new album is set for release in late September.

Speaking in this week's NME, which is on newsstands from today, or available digitally, the duo confirmed that the album was recorded in Warsaw and that they are currently mixing the tracks in London.

The band also unveiled a new track from the forthcoming album titled 'Plague' today – listen to it below.

Ethan Kath is on production duties for the as-yet untitled record, which will be the band's third and the follow-up to 2010's 'II'. Speaking about the sound of the new material, Kath told NME: "There's no departure. We like how we sound. We don't wanna change".

Alice Glass added: "There's lots of themes, but feeling, like, oppressed… A lot of things not personally happening to us, since the past record, but people we know kind of profoundly influenced everything. Like, I didn't think I could lose faith in humanity any more than I already had, but after witnessing some things, it just… the world is a dystopia. I'm on step away from being a vigilante. I've thought about it".

Last month the band played the new track 'Plague' at their UK comeback show at Manchester's Parklife festival.
