Crystal Castles, My Morning Jacket for New Years Eve in NYC

Blonde Redhead, Patti Smith also among acts performing that night

Crystal Castles, My Morning Jacket, Blonde Redhead and Patti Smith are among the acts who will perform shows in New York City on New Year’s Eve this year.

A Place To Bury Strangers recently announced an intimate show at Mercury Lounge that night, while across the water in New Jersey, Yo La Tengo will headline the new venue Wellmont Theatre.

Crystal Castles will ring in 2009 at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg, while Blonde Redhead will take over Terminal 5 in midtown.

Patti Smith will perform at Bowery Ballroom, while My Morning Jacket will headline Madison Square Garden- also known as ‘the world’s most famous arena’.
