Crystal Castles defy T In The Park curfew
Canadian duo overcome a reputation for trouble to thrill crowd

Crystal Castles closed the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Futures stage at T In The Park tonight (July 10) with a riotously-recieved set, free of fights, technical faults or walk-offs - despite their reputation.
Though singer Alice Glass brandished her vodka bottle in style during 'Courtship Dating', the Canadian digi-punk duo played past curfew without a hitch.
Coming on stage to the now-endemic T chant of "Here we fucking go", the opening scree of 'Exoskeleton' soon had the crowd screaming "Crystal, Crystal, Crystal fucking Castles".
A maple-leaf flag waved through the strobes in the front row as the black-clad singer roared the lyrics of 'Crimewave' into the audience.
After 'Air War', during which Glass tucked the strobe light she'd been brandishing up her jumper, perhaps in a bid to give Lady Gaga's fiery-breasted Glastonbury set a run for its money, the band defied curfew to play another track, before leaving the crowd chanting in vain for "one more tune".
