Crystal Castles singer Alice Glass has been hospitalised in Tokyo with an ankle injury.
The band were in the Japanese capital to play a gig in the Liquid Room venue on Tuesday (January 18), with Glass' bandmate Ethan Kath telling Thevine.com.au that the frontwoman had a mishap.
"We're at the hospital, having x-rays taken," he said. "It appears that she has a broken ankle."
The band's spokesperson told NME that Glass was injured on their European tour towards the end of last year, with the singer aggravating the injury in Tokyo.
Despite the injury Crystal Castles played the Big Day Out festival in Aukland today (January 21) and are still set to go ahead with their forthcoming Australian tour dates. They are then set to play on the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour, which kicks off in Glasgow on February 3.
Magnetic Man, Everything Everything and The Vaccines are also on the tour, which wraps up at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on February 19.
