Crystal Castles' Alice Glass rescued by security at Reading Festival

Frontwoman spends more time in the audience than onstage

Crystal Castles' Reading Festival set descended into chaos today (August 30), when frontwoman Alice Glass had to be rescued by security after diving into the crowd.

During 'Air War', Glass leapt into the audience, crowd-surfing along the front rows until the song's end. She ended up so far into the NME/Radio 1 Stage crowd that security were forced to leap in to rescue her.

Once she returned to the stage, Glass ran up the stage steps, picked up a flashing light and hung it around her neck.

'Reckless' saw the wayward singer dance with flailing arms while standing on the band's drum riser, and later crawl around the floor on her hands and knees.

Later in Crystal Castles' set, Glass again went into the crowd to meet her audience.

Similar scenes occurred during the band's set at Leeds Festival yesterday (August 29).
