CSS stormed offstage after singer Lovefoxx was hit by a shoe.
The band cut their set short after the frontwoman was hit in the face during their performance at The Dome in Brighton on Friday (December 14).
CSS's MySpace page was flooded with angry responses from disappointed fans following the gig who have pleaded with the band not to reject the town on future tours.
One fan wrote: "Who throws a shoe?" It's a shame that the actions of one idiot had to spoil the evening for everyone else. I hope it won't dissuade you from playing Brighton again - we love you!"
Another disappointed fan told BBC 6 Music, that the show was ruined by the shoe-throwing incident.
He added: "It hit her square in the face. This sucked. They carried on until the end of the song without the singer, then that was it. The keyboard player said: 'Why would you throw a shoe at Lovefoxx?! You ruined the whole flipping show for everybody!'.
The band are due to play Cambridge Corn Exchange on Monday (December 17).
