Cypress Hill hit with lawsuit
Band targetted for 2004 no show
Cypress Hill have been hit with a lawsuit by music promoters who claim the band didn’t return a deposit after failing to play a 2004 gig.
Music promoters Wavecrest Media in Tennessee claim that the rappers refused to return a deposit of $150,000 (£76,356) after they failed to play a show scheduled for September 19 in 2004 due to Hurricane Ivan.
The band were booked to play the Tennessee State Fair.
According to All Hip-Hop, Wavecrest were planning to shoot the concert for DVD release.
Representatives for the band have not yet commented.
