Cypress Hill hit with lawsuit

Cypress Hill have been hit with a lawsuit by music promoters who claim the band didn’t return a deposit after failing to play a 2004 gig.

Music promoters Wavecrest Media in Tennessee claim that the rappers refused to return a deposit of $150,000 (£76,356) after they failed to play a show scheduled for September 19 in 2004 due to Hurricane Ivan.

The band were booked to play the Tennessee State Fair.

According to All Hip-Hop, Wavecrest were planning to shoot the concert for DVD release.

Representatives for the band have not yet commented.
