Daft Punk 'definitely not touring in 2013' says Rob da Bank
Bestival organiser says he has been told dance duo will not play festivals
The French duo have been linked to headline slots at both Glastonbury and Coachella by fans eager to see their live show.
However, speaking to eFestivals, Rob Da Bank stated that he was told through official channels that Daft Punk will not be appearing live at all this year.
He said: "There's all kinds of crazy rumours flying about at the moment about Daft Punk at Coachella, and The Rolling Stones playing Glastonbury. We got told months ago that Daft Punk were definitely not touring next year, but it keeps the rumour mill going."
Elsewhere, discussing the line-up for this year's Bestival, da Bank was confident of having all three of his headline acts in place very soon.
"It's public knowledge that I confirmed the Sunday headliner on the weekend of Bestival this year. That's good, and that's another iconic act, that will hopefully be as good as Stevie Wonder was. The rest of it is up in the air really, I haven't got lots of offers out on headliners. I've got two offers out on two headliners that I really want, and I'm waiting to hear back from them, hopefully in the next week."
He added: "I would love to come out with the full line-up be the end of January, but we'll have to wait and see, if it doesn't fall into place, then I know I will have to hold back."
Meanwhile, Bestival organisers have announced a concert in memory of the three people who died on their way home from the festival in September.
