Listen: Daft Punk and Jay-Z collaboration surfaces online

Mystery surrounds previously-unknown duet

A previously-unknown collaboration between Daft Punk and Jay-Z has surfaced on YouTube.

Information is scant about the track, ‘Computerized’, but it has been confirmed as a genuine recording. It can be heard below.

It isn’t clear when the song was recorded, though it’s thought it was made during the lengthy sessions for last year’s Daft Punk album ‘Random Access Memories’. However, Jay-Z references BlackBerry in the song, rapping: “Start macking on my BlackBerry/She got jealous, I was tapping on my BlackBerry.” Last year’s Jay-Z album ‘Magna Carta: Holy Grail’ was part-sponsored by rival phone manufacturer’s Samsung.

It isn’t yet clear if the song will be given an official release, nor how the recording appeared online.
