Thursday's gossip: Kaiser Chiefs boozing, Radiohead's dog gets stroked

With the BBC Electric Proms kicking off last night (October 24), Camden, where all the events take place, has become a gossip epicentre.
First up, backstage at
Mark Ronson’s gig at The Roundhouse, the hot rumour was that Lily Allen had cancelled her billed collaboration with the DJ at the last minute, explaining that she wasn’t going to do “anything” for six months after sacking her management recently.
During the show, The Rumble Strips’ Henry Clark gave a slightly awkward standing ovation to his band’s singer, Charlie Waller’s onstage cameo covering Amy Winehouse's 'Back To Black'.
Following the gig, several of those taking part held their own unofficial aftershow in Camden’s Hawley Arms, with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson and The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess and Mark Collins running into the regulars The Horrors’ Faris Rotter, The Mighty Boosh’s Noel Fielding and Johnny Borrell's brother Willie who were already there.
Elsewhere in Camden, Editors’ bassist Russell Leech was seen strolling down Chalk Farm Road following his band's appearence at KOKO.
Yet another Camden celeb spot occurred when our spy saw Peanut of Kaiser Chiefs chatting to “the blonde one from 'Smack The Pony' and 'Coupling'” [Sarah Alexandra to you] at Sigur Ros’ BBC Electric Proms gig at the English Folk Dance And Song Society venue.
Over on the US NME Rock N Roll Riot Tour, Art Brut’s Eddie Argos sent NME possibly the indiest text message ever: “Just watched The Hold Steady with The Mountain Goats. John gave me their new album out in Feb. It’s definitely my birthday.”
Finally, our esteemed sub-editor Nat Cramp received an even more intriguing text message from a friend last night (October 24), which read: “I’m stroking Jonny Greenwood’s dog. It’s an expensive pure breed and it’s called Louis.”
