Which stars got up to what at the Shockwaves NME Awards?
Pixie Geldof argued with a security guard during the awards, flashing her pass at him to no avail.
The Wombats’ Matthew Murphy tried to negotiate with another guard to let him outside for a fag but the guard wouldn’t let him through, despite the fact that he had just won the award for Best Dancefloor Filler. He went out the front instead.
Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke broke up a scrap in the Hoxton Hotel after the bash, after another band’s associate went mental at a journalist who had given their band a bad review. The journo suffered a broken finger.
Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos wrote out his mobile number for Glasvegas’ James Allan at the hotel bar – a collaboration, or at least friendship, on the cards?
Arctic Monkeys, Kate Moss, Bobby Gillespie, The Rascals, Kelly Osbourne, Matt Bowman from The Pigeon Detectives and James Ford partied at the Punk club after the bash.
Bobby Gillespie knocked over a guest dressed as a clown backstage at the Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig. It was an accident, though, as the Primal Scream man didn't even realise he'd done it.
Joe Lean had heated discussions with a girl at the backstage bar at the O2 Arena.
Kate Nash had heart-to-heart chats with female friends in the loos at the O2 Arena.
Billy Bragg apologised to Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson for “butchering” ‘I Predict A Riot’ on YouTube. He said, “I really like the song and I'll revisit it sometime and do it justice”.
When presenters Mat Horne and James Corden said Kate Nash was fit, her boyfriend, The Cribs’ Ryan Jarman, smiled knowingly and took a swig of his beer.
Nash and Bragg gatecrashed Vampire Weekend’s table to sing along to The Cribs’ performance.
Model Agyness Dean and her boyfriend, Josh Hubbard, danced ‘manically’ to Manic Street Preachers.
Before they headed to Punk, Arctic Monkeys and Kimberly Stewart were refused entry to the O2 Arena backstage bar because they didn’t have the right wristbands.
