Britney Spears' recent car crash was caused by a bad case of hiccups. A source who was at the scene of the three-car pile up in Los Angeles on Saturday said: "The hiccups took her by surprise and jolted her entire body. Unfortunately this made her ram into the vehicle in front."

The source added: "Even though he only had a Nissan and will clearly get his money's worth he was pretty cheesed off."
