Welcome to the Daily Ligger: your morning stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

The Last Shadow Puppets, aka Alex Turner and Miles Kane, celebrated their first full gig with strings at TV show 'Later... With Jools Holland' with a party at nearby hotel in west London.

Those who made their way to the late night shindig included Mark Ronson, Klaxons, , Kelly Osbourne, Alexa Chung, Simon from BBC show 'The Apprentice' (set to take a starring role in tonight's episode, NME.COM understands) someone who claimed to be in the first line up of The Libertines, plus Arcade Fire's Owen Pallet, Stephen Fretwell, James Ford (who all played in The Last Shadow Puppets' live band) and plenty of family and friends who came down to watch the show.

Method Man, who was also staying at the hotel, and his entourage made a brief cameo in the lobby, but but didn't join in with the drinking, although fellow guests Elbow did when they returned from their gig that evening in Brixton (From NME.COM).

From the papers:

Cheryl Cole from Girls Aloud wearing a multicoloured stripey lycra dress and flaunting her naked wedding finger after dining at Nobu, London, with bandmate Nicola Roberts (Various).

The Kills Jamie Hince having a boozy dinner at London's Cafe Boheme with girlfriend Kate Moss (Daily Star).

Good Charlotte's Benji Madden and Paris Hilton partying round London (Daily Star).

E-mailed in from NME.COM readers:

Matty from The Twang and Didz Hammond from Dirty Pretty Things watching Elbow at London Brixton Academy, along with Sheffield legend Richard Hawley, who guested during the band's set (From Jamie).
