Duffy, Razorlight, Girls Aloud, Santogold – Your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your morning stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

The Ting Tings have admitted they were a really ropey live act before they topped the charts. Singer Katie White was so bad, in fact, she didn't even know how to turn on her amplifier. The duo's drummer Jules De Martino said: "We did our first proper gig at the Birmingham Barfly. It was where Katie picked up the guitar for the first time - but she couldn't get the sound out. She had to ask the audience what to do and they shouted back - 'Turn the amp on!'" (Daily Star).

From the papers:

Joe Lean from Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong dancing around to Dead Kids in Camden, north London (Daily Star).

Duffy flashing her pants and wolf-whistling at Wychwood Music Festival (The Sun).

Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows chatting about snares with Muse skin-beater Dom Howard in The Hill pub, Chalk Farm, north London (Daily Star).

Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts checking out a sparkly handbag while her male companion glanced at his watch, Liverpool (Daily Star).

Noel Fielding's girlfriend Dee Plume from Robots In Disguise has forced him to ban The Kills playing the Mighty Boosh Festival over her jealousy of Noel's and Alison Mosshart's "intense friendship" (The Sun).

Shane MacGowan sporting a rubber ring round his neck and eating ice cream at Sandycove Beach, Dublin (The Sun).

Cheryl Cole tucking into a bag of Doritos in the early hours in Manchester (Daily Mirror).

Santogold had allergy issues during the shoot of her video to 'Les Artistes' and had to take medicine to sort it out (Daily Record).

Live, on record, in interviews...They're a jackpot of terrible. She's the least interesting front woman I've seen in years.
