The Zutons vs Amy Winehouse – Daily Gossip
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today's top gossip:

The Zutons' Dave McCabe, who wrote 'Valerie', has spoken about his frosty relationship with Amy Winehouse, who famously covered the song in 2007. This has been caused partly because of McCabe's first meeting with her now-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. McCabe revealed: "I said: 'Mate, why don't you do something useful so you're not just known for being Amy Winehouse's boyfriend?' I'm not so proud of that moment" (Daily Star).

From the papers:

Courtney Love wants to be known as 'Kookoo Bananas'. "I'm flattered other people are using it," she said (Daily Mirror).

Liam Gallagher was snapped on holiday in the Costa Del Sol (The Sun).

Phil Collins is Number One in the New Zealand singles chart. His 1981 track 'In The Air Tonight' gained popularity after the Cadbury's advert featuring the song - and the drumming gorilla - aired on TV there (The Sun).

Heath Ledger supposedly based his Joker character in the new Batman film 'The Dark Knight' on Sid Vicious (Daily Mirror).

Duffy has sold one million copies of her debut album 'Rockferry' in the UK this year. She's the first UK artist to do so in 2008 (The Sun).

Mark Ronson's half-brother is about to launch a music career. Chris Jones's first single features a guest appearance from EVE (Daily Star).

Supermodel Agyness Deyn is planning to move into a New York warehouse with her boyfriend Albert Hammond Jr (Heat).
