The Fratellis go to war with Razorlight and The Kooks - Daily Gossip

Lily Allen, Kasabain, Manic Street Preachers, Gary Glitter - your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today's top gossip:
The Fratellis have launched a scathing attack on Razorlight and The Kooks. Writing a column for the Daily Star, the Scots said they found Johnny Borrell and co laughable. "We were driving around London and 'America' came on the radio and for some reason, who knows what, we all burst out laughing at precisely the same time," they said. "But Johnny Borrell is a cock. And we hate The Kooks as well - their music is fucking awful" (Daily Star).

From the papers:
Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire has praised both Liam Gallagher and Pete Doherty, saying Gallagher is a "beautiful star" and Doherty still has the "X factor" (Daily Record).

Lily Allen has said she can't promise she'll never take drugs again (Metro).

Gary Glitter taunted airport officials in Bangkok by singing "I'm free, to do what I want, any old time," from The Rolling Stones 1965 classic 'I'm Free' (The Sun).

Bob Geldof has finally given his blessing to daughter Peaches and new husband Max Drummey's marriage (Daily Star).

Kasabian's Tom Meighan contributed backing vocals to old schoolfriend Jersey Budd's new single 'She Came Back'. His payment? Two cans of lager (Daily Mirror).

George Harrison's son Dhani has opted to only play free gigs with his band Newno2. They play throughout September at the Key Club on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles (The Independent).

Pah! We all know razorlight are awful, but Fratellis are really calling pot kettle black here! They are shocking awful, the majority of their fans being drunken louts who spill out of clubs singing chelsea dagger. Luke Kook can actually sing a note, unlike Fratellis. >>;

Johnny Borrell gets far too much bad press. He is a fucking genius. And as for The Fratelli's slagging off Razorlight???? When the 40 year old Virgins write a song as good as Golden Touch i may take them seriously.
