Oasis' Noel Gallagher has said he thinks his home country of England is rubbish. "[When I'm away] I miss football, I miss a decent cup of tea, that's about it," he said. "England is not that fucking great. England is a fucking shithole, to be honest. London is a fucking dump. It's full of crime, it's full of fucking tourists. I don't even know why I live here to be honest. I live here because the music industry is here" (Various).

The Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie Wood's wife Jo Wood has refused to agree to a divorce. She said she wasn't interested in a legal separation, but wasn't sure if he would come back to her (The Sun).

Bryan Ferry made a rambling 20-minute speech at the BMI awards in London's Dorchester Hotel, and had to be dragged offstage by staff. "I think I may have drunk a bit too much," he said (Daily Mirror).

Madonna had a pop at a fan during her New York show. "Are you fucking bored, sir?" she shouted at a seated gent. "I'm busting my ass up here. Clap for me! My ego is bruised right now!" (The Sun).

Kanye West has paid tribute to his late mother, Donda. "She really supported me - with her not being here to talk me into doing things I just try to do the things that I think she'd want me to do," he told US TV chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Rick Astley checked out cufflinks in Selfridges in London (Daily Star).

Comedian Alan Carr was going to write a Christmas single, but has shelved his plans after finding out that Gary Barlow and Peter Kay are writing one together and he doesn't want to be outshined (The Sun).

Katy Perry's mum, Mary Hudson, used to date Jimi Hendrix (The Sun).
