Jay-Z went to celebrate Barack Obama's Presidential inauguration on Capitol Hill in Washington DC wearing an enormous fluffy hat and a tie. His wife Beyonce beamed away wearing shades before later performing Etta James' 'At Last' for the new President and the First Lady, Michelle.
Also at the inauguration Bruce Springsteen used a pair of binoculars to get a better look at Obama. He later gave Shakira a hug (Various).

Amy Winehouse helped a woman who had hurt herself on the rocks off a beach in St Lucia after the unfortunate holidaymaker was thrown out of her boat by a wave (The Sun).

Lady Gaga bought a few pairs of Flexees pants while out shopping in London (The Sun).

Elbow's Guy Garvey has said he is worried that his missus will cheer for Take That instead of his band at the BRIT Awards after learning that both acts are up for gongs at this year's bash.

Lily Allen wore a hat made from Finnish fox fur while at the Ivy in London (Daily Star).

The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood went boozing with Ronnie Corbett at a bash at the Dorchester Hotel in London (The Sun).

Meanwhile, the Razorlight boys had a fag outside the hotel (Daily Mirror).

The Ting Tings' Katie White has explained that her bandmate, Jules De Martino, always wears sunglasses because he gets dizzy spells when he sees flashing lights (Daily Star).

Kylie Minogue went on a shopping spree in Paris wearing a big woolly white coat (Daily Record).
