Oasis support act Twisted Wheel ended up getting in a fight to defend the Gallagher brothers after a gig in Milan on Monday (February 2). The band, who are touring Europe with Oasis, hit out at a group of locals who were slagging off their mentors by jumping straight in a having a punch-up (The Sun).

Britney Spears is so nervous about her upcoming tour that she is having regular panic attacks about it (The Sun).

The View bassist Kieren Webster said he wants the band to "conquer" Bruce Springsteen in the album charts on Sunday (February 8). The View are currently at Number Two in the midweek charts, with The Boss still at Number One (Daily Record).

UB40's management firm have gone into administration (Daily Mirror).

Ronnie Wood's 20-year-old girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova says she is "more nervous than anything" about letting the Rolling Stone meet her mum. "He is older than her," she said (Daily Star).
