Eminem has confirmed the release date of his long-awaited comeback album 'Relapse' - as well as announcing plans to release a follow-up later this year. 'Relapse' will be released on May 17. An as-yet unnamed single will precede the album, coming out on April 7.

Elton John briefly assumed the role of drug counsellor for Eminem, according to the rapper. "When I first wanted to get sober, I called him," Slim Shady admitted. "He understands, like, the pressure and any other reasons that you wanna come up with for doing drugs." Now that he's clean, the rapper says he still sees John as an unlikely guidance figure. "I still talk to him about things, career wise," he said (The Sun).
