Man Utd reveal Champions League iPod choices - Daily Gossip
Lily Allen, Kasabian, Madonna – your music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Manchester United's first team have revealed their iPod playlist, set to be aired on the team bus before tonight's (May 27) European Champions League final against Barcelona.
Alongside the seemingly obligatory Oasis tracks (Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes chose 'Supersonic', 'Wonderwall' and 'Cast No Shadow' respectively), were a few wildcards.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani both plumped for tracks by the Gypsy Kings, while Dutch keeper Edwin Van Der Saar chose Musical Youth's 1982 teen weed anthem 'Pass The Dutchie' (so don't count on him letting in any goals on the left hand side tonight…).
Perhaps cheesiest of all was Rio Ferdinand's choice of Duran Duran's 'Rio'. Manager Alex Ferguson's choices (ABBA, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin) didn't make the playlist, though Stereophonics' 'Dakota' did, as requested by Wayne Rooney (The Sun).
From the papers:
Madonna's alleged on-off squeeze Jesus Luz approves of her body, saying the 50-year-old "has no visible faults" (Daily Star).
Take That's current tour sees them packing 49 trucks full of stage gear (Daily Mirror).
Kasabian have been lumbered with a rubbish toilet on their tourbus. "The toilet is awful," singer Tom Meighan said. "You can't do anything in it," he added (The Sun).
Lily Allen is looking into moving to the Devon seaside town of Ilfracombe (Daily Mirror).
P Diddy got a parking ticket when he left his scooter in the road outside an LA party (Daily Mirror).
From NME.COM users:
'EastEnders' actress Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) watched a secret gig by Carl Barat and Lee Mavers in Hammersmith, west London (from Simone).
