Amy Winehouse plays free BBQ gig, Kanye West applies for GAP job, Michael Jackson's Westminster tour – your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Lily Allen and Oasis' Liam Gallagher "caused havoc" on an 11-hour Virgin Atlantic flight to Japan by going on a massive booze bender. The duo were both heading out to perform at Japan's Fuji Rocks (July 24-26) festival, and were in party mood as they boarded the flight.
Despite the best efforts of their 30-strong entourages, who advised airline staff to "keep those two apart", Allen and Gallagher hooked up in the Upper Class section of the plane. Their raucous behaviour didn't escape the attention of other passengers or flight attendants, who apparently repeatedly told the duo to "calm down". Back in London, however, Allen quipped "I don't know what you're talking about," when reporters quizzed her about the flight (The Sun).

From the papers:

Michael Jackson once tried to buy the speaker's chair from the House Of Commons, after being given a private tour of the establishment by Lord Janner. "Can I sit there?" he quipped as he was shown around. "Can I buy it?" (Independent).

Amy Winehouse got her neighbour to take charge of her barbeque at a party recently, in exchange for giving him and his friends a private gig (The Sun).

Kanye West applied for a work placement at GAP in New York recently (Daily Record).

Calvin Harris says he deleted Tinchy Stryder from his Twitter account because the rapper always writes in text speak. "It was affecting my brain," he said (The Sun).

Kelly Osbourne is planning to relaunch her singing career (Daily Mirror).

Florence Welch of Florence And The Machine challenged two mates to a cocktail competition, though she only managed three in a row (The Sun).
